About:
The Baptism of Christ depicts St. John the Baptist, baptising Jesus. The figures above Jesus' head represent the love of God and the proof that Jesus was actually God's son. The two figures to the left are angels, in which are holding Jesus' garments while he is baptised. This art piece was a collaboration between da Vinci and his mentor Verrocchio. This piece is often overlooked and underestimated. However, this is one of Verrocchio's better works.
